From Philosophy to African Spy Fiction
Whether you're an aspiring writer, looking for a ghostwriter, or seeking authentic African narratives, let's collaborate to create something extraordinary.
Chiemelie Kyrian Offor is an award-winning Nigerian novelist and one of the boldest new voices in African thriller fiction. He is best known for Lethal Target, which introduced readers to Gabriel Kayode, a Department of State Services (DSS) Protection Officer; a groundbreaking creation as the first Nigerian thriller to spotlight the DSS in the same way American and British novels have long popularized the CIA, MI5, and MI6.
His earlier novel, The President Is Dead (reissued as Ultimate Power), earned him the Best Writer of the Year Award in 2021 from the Nigerian Young Minds Impact Awards, presented by the then Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly. This recognition cemented his place as a trailblazer in bringing Nigerian intelligence agencies into the global espionage thriller conversation.
Kyrian's work is driven by a bold vision: to rebrand Nigeria and Africa through literature, positioning our intelligence agencies and governance structures within the same thrilling, high-stakes narratives that have defined American and British spy fiction for decades. Inspired by masters of the genre such as Robert Ludlum, David Baldacci, Vince Flynn, and Ian Fleming, Kyrian is pioneering a uniquely African brand of action-thriller storytelling that merges international intrigue with distinctly Nigerian heroes.
His growing body of work includes Lethal Target, Ultimate Power, and the forthcoming The Supremacy, with other titles in development such as The Hit of Honor, Protect or Kill, Capital Threat, Commander in Chief, and Code Name: Phoenix, e.t.c. Through these stories, he introduces compelling characters like Gabriel Kayode, Alan Tayo, and Jennifer Raymond, Jonas Eno, and Chioma Obi; elite operatives whose missions take readers deep into the heart of Nigeria's covert world.
As a novelist, Kyrian aspires to establish himself as the leading African voice in action, thriller, and espionage literature, cultivating a global readership that transcends cultural and linguistic boundaries. His brand stands out for its innovative storytelling, patriotic rebranding of Nigerian institutions, and a daring commitment to put African narratives on the world stage.
Originally from Umuomaku in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Kyrian and his family lives in Lagos, Nigeria and California, United States. Beyond writing, he is passionate about inspiring the next generation of African storytellers through mentorship, interviews, and his growing literary platform.
In his own words, "It is time for Africa to tell her own stories, and thrill the world while doing it."
